Blizzarding here

Hi everyone,
It's fun to read all the entries and I do apologize for not getting on here lately. We're not online here at our Sundance cabin, so I have to change my late night typing habits. I love reading your entries though; thanks for taking the time to write. We're in the middle of a blizzard today and some area schools had snow days. This is the view from our front lobby. I spent most of the week on discipline cases and state achievement test meetings, so weekend here I come!!!!!! Love to all, Teresa

Hi!

Just thought I'd let you know that although little Denmark is in a hard storm at the moment, we are still hanging on.
In September a newspaper decided to print 12 drawings of Muhammad. Noone seemed to notice - nor mind at the time, but then in January some muslim imams who have been accepted here as refugees (strange that they can go home when they are here as refugees!!) went to the Middle East and raised hell about it.
I'm not saying that I think the paper should have printed the drawings, but I am sick and tired of the reactions and insanity of a Medieval religion. The worst is not those radical extremists in Lebanon, Syria and Iran. That's only what can be expected from them. The worst is the Muslims who for years have enjoyed all the benefits of our welfare system without having given anything back. We do of course have Muslims who are not happy about it, but many of them are afraid to speak up - no wonder. A member of Parliament who was born in Syria, but has lived here for years and done a lot for integration has been threatened on his life and must now have police protection.

I certainly hope we'll stop sending more money to Gaza and the West Bank when they only think of us as monsters who should be killed.

Apart from that things are going well here. We have had some snow, but almost all of it has rained away again and it's back to the usual dull, foggy and gray.

I hope you are all doing well.

Love

Niels
